Great podcast as usual. Really enjoyed listening to Sarah and wish her and the Ex-muslims North America (and elsewhere) all the best.
A question for Sarah if she reads this comment:
You mention current problems with ISIS following “Mohammad’s” Islam, what other form of Islam is there, and what message are the Muslims not following Mohammad’s Islam following?
Thanks
Dave
doesn’t seem either of you heard already, but that soda can story from the airplane has been pretty much discredited as a fabrication:

even tyt corrected themselves about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4cnfuqEh2U
@Dave
When people are talking about “Muhammad’s Islam” or Salafism, they are contrasting this to more traditional Islam which comes out of exegesis in the 8th-12th centuries and creates a more moderate form of the faith. Of course, we should be careful that this more moderate traditional Islam is still a repressive and violent faith, but it is more restrained than what Muhammad did in his life.
This young lady serves as an example that many years from now even though these issues may be obscured by time, her courage will be remembered.
Sarah Haider is amazing!! So smart,so eloquent, her message is so important to push back against the PC mainstream narrative. Is there any way to get her on NPR where she’ll really be heard? She is a new voice for the millenials.
So pleased that I have come across Sarah Haider and this site. Thanks so much for this discussion, it was superb listening.
