Your Scottish guest should know that it was Mehdi Hasan who professed belief in the flying white horse over Jerusalem, when under questioning by Prof R. Dawkins.
He didn’t confuse the two. His point was that Maajid as a Muslim, would presumably believe it – and this discredits his intelligence. I don’t necessarily agree, but no-one was talking about Mehdi – although I am aware of what you’re referring to
I think she was talking about atheist like Bill Maher view on Muslims in regards to 14 year old clock arrest.
Do you have any examples of Bill Maher views that may lead to the scenario we saw in Texas? Still seems odd. I think mention of any atheist(s) in this context is utterly bizarre

She was talking about the cause. This is commentary after the fact. Doesn’t strike me as anti-Muslim either

Do we really think liberal Bill Maher is influencing events like this in….Texas?
And

I’m not sure what you think these clips demonstrate
No I wouldn’t say it’s exactly influencing most conservatives hate Bill Maher. However considering how bigoted some religious people are take this and run with saying even liberal atheist Bill Maher Knows Muslims are the worst.
You Gotta remember who we’re talking about

And don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I agree with her, just saying that’s probably what she was talking about.
I like the argument from tourism.
France gets a lot more tourists than the UK and look what they did to their Monarchy.
Perhaps you could say queenie is bad for tourism?
