@Abu, I didn’t see Stephen do that either. What I read is that if you are going to bring this guy on as a spokesperson for moderates then you need to press him on what he means by his statements. If he says follow Sharia in it’s totality then insist on him explaining and defending not just the benign proscriptions but the malignant ones as well. If this is truly god’s law and it is truly the best way to live then it should be universal and be easy to explain clearly and concisely to both a muslim or non-muslim person. That it’s not and that Mr Salih feels it’s necessary to equivocate speaks volumes…
